Dr. Pooper Affiliate Posting Guidelines

By joining the Dr. Pooper Affiliate Program, you agree to follow these guidelines. Breaking them can mean lost commissions and removal from the program.

We want partners who genuinely reach people with septic systems: homeowners, contractors, homesteaders, RV owners, and home-maintenance creators. If you share honest content with a real audience, you'll do well here. If you're looking for shortcuts, this isn't the right program.

1. Paid search advertising is not allowed

Affiliates may not use paid search ads of any kind to promote Dr. Pooper. This includes Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and any other search engine. We run our own search ads, and affiliate ads compete with them and raise our costs.

Specifically, you may not:

  • Run search ads that link to DoctorPooper.com, directly or through a redirect or landing page
  • Bid on "Dr. Pooper," "Doctor Pooper," "Accelerator by Dr. Pooper," or any misspelling or variation of our names or product names
  • Use our trademarks in ad copy, display URLs, or keywords
  • Run Google Shopping, Performance Max, or other product listing ads featuring our products

Paid social ads (for example Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok) are not allowed without our written approval in advance.

2. Coupon codes and self-purchases

Your affiliate link and coupon code are for your own audience only.

  • Do not post your code on coupon or deal sites (such as RetailMeNot, Honey, Slickdeals, or Groupon), browser extensions, or cash-back sites.
  • Do not use your own link or code to buy for yourself, your household, or your business. Commissions on self-purchases will be reversed.
  • Do not offer cash, rebates, or gifts to get people to buy through your link.
  • Only advertise discounts we have actually given you. Do not make up sales, prices, or offers.

3. Product claims

Only say what we say. Some of our products are regulated, and claims that go beyond our approved wording can create legal problems for us and for you.

You may share your honest personal experience and repeat claims exactly as they appear on DoctorPooper.com or our product labels.

You may not:

  • Promise specific results, such as "you'll never need to pump again" or "guaranteed to fix any septic problem"
  • Say or imply that any product is approved, endorsed, or certified by the EPA or any government agency
  • Describe pesticide products as "safe," "non-toxic," "harmless," or "all-natural" unless that exact wording appears on our site or label without qualifications

4. Disclose that you're an affiliate

Federal Trade Commission rules require you to tell your audience that you earn a commission. Every post, video, or page that promotes Dr. Pooper must include a clear disclosure.

  • Put it where people will see it before they click: at the start of a post or caption, or said out loud early in a video.
  • Use plain words, such as "I earn a commission if you buy through my link" or "#ad."
  • Do not hide it in a link, behind a "more" button, or in a stack of hashtags.
  • If you received free product, say so.

5. Other prohibited methods

  • Spam. No unsolicited email, text messages, direct messages, or comment spam. Email only people who have opted in to hear from you, and follow CAN-SPAM rules.
  • Our names in domains or handles. Do not register websites, social accounts, or usernames that include "Dr. Pooper," "Doctor Pooper," or anything confusingly similar.
  • Impersonation. Do not present yourself as Dr. Pooper, our staff, or an official store or support channel.
  • Fake traffic or orders. No cookie stuffing, pop-unders, bots, click farms, hidden links, or forced clicks. No fake reviews or fake testimonials.
  • Marketplaces. Do not resell our products or link to them on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or other marketplaces through your affiliate account.
  • Offensive content. Do not promote us on sites or posts with adult, hateful, violent, or illegal content.

6. Commissions and enforcement

  • Commissions are held for 45 days after each order before they are paid. This covers our money-back guarantee period.
  • Commissions are reversed on orders that are refunded, returned, charged back, canceled, or found to be fraudulent.
  • We may withhold or reverse commissions earned in violation of these guidelines, and remove any affiliate from the program at any time.
  • We review affiliate traffic and orders regularly. We may ask where your traffic comes from, and you agree to answer.
  • We may update these guidelines. Continuing in the program means you accept the current version.
